DAY 1 Arrive Maun, Baines’ Camp
On arrival at Maun Airport, a Mack Air representative will meet and assist you to your onward flight.
Depart Maun on a shared light aircraft charter flight to Baines' Camp. The flying time is
approximately 15 minutes. Kindly note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple
pick ups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time.
On arrival at the airstrip a Baines’ Camp representative will meet and transfer you to the camp. The
transfer time is approximately 45 minutes.
Baines' Camp is located on the Boro River, set amongst the shady trees and water of the Okavango
Delta, on a 260 000 acre private concession neighbouring the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp,
named after the famous 19th century explorer Sir Thomas Baines, features five luxurious suites set
on elevated platforms in the tree line with wooden decks that offer expansive views over the
permanent water of the river and a lagoon teaming with life. The elevated suites feature a luxury
bedroom, en-suite facilities and private viewing deck. The four-poster beds are fully mobile, giving
guests the choice to slumber under star laden skies. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, ceiling
fan, in-room safe as well as a personally stocked minibar. Avid astronomers will delight in stargazing
from the privacy of their own deck.
The main area features an oversized deck for outdoor dining and views over the permanent water of
the lagoon. There is a rim flow swimming pool with two thatched salas on either side for refreshing
sunbathing and relaxation. The camp offers informative walking safaris with an armed professional
guide, wonderful game drives in open-sided 4X4 vehicles as well as motorised boating & mokoro
excursions, subject to water levels. The unique and educational elephant interaction is available
where guests have the opportunity of interacting with a herd of 3 semi-habituated elephants in their
natural environment.

DAY TWO Baines’ Camp
This morning you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with
three semi-habituated elephants - Jabu, Thembi and Marula on a
morning walk. Observe them up close in their natural environment
as they feed, take mud baths and swim, whilst learning about them
and discovering their unique personalities. This activity includes a
picnic lunch. You are invited to discover the elephants from the ends
of their bristled tails to the tip of their powerful yet sensitive trunks.
Explore the astonishing kinship between the elephants and their
guardians. A delicate blink of Marula's long lashes reveals her
sensitive yet powerful personality. Jabu, takes you trunk in hand,
with his bold and generous nature and together you slowly uncover
the age old secrets of Africa's Elephants. Tembi, cute boisterous and impossible to ignore, infatuates
you and transforms your understanding of elephants to a deeper and more personal level.

DAY THREE B a i n e s ’ C a m p to Chief’s Camp
The morning is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer. After breakfast a camp
representative will transfer you to the airstrip. Depart Baines' Camp on a Mack Air shared light
aircraft charter flight to Chief's Camp. The flying time to Chief's Camp is approximately 15 minutes.
Kindly note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick ups and drop offs en
route to your destination which could affect the flying time.
Chief's Camp is a luxury bush camp situated on Chief's Island in the exclusive Mombo Concession of
the Moremi Game Reserve. This region is known as the “predator capital” of Africa and is considered
to have the finest game viewing in Botswana including the Big Five. Guest accommodation comprises
of 12 secluded, permanent luxury bush pavilions. Each unit features a thatched roof, spacious
seating area, en-suite facilities with indoor and outdoor showers, as well as a private game viewing
deck with hammock and deck chairs. Each unit boasts a generous mosquito net on a four-poster
bed, two wardrobes, a book shelf, writing desk and mini bar.
The main camp area, houses the dining area, open bar area, curio shop, library and reception area.
This structure has been built into the existing landscape, under a heavy canopy of mature
Jackalberry, Sausage and Rain trees. The main deck area is split-level and offers expansive views
over the floodplain while the lower level of the deck houses an exquisite swimming pool. A range of
spa treatments are offered in the treatment room. Activities include game drives & seasonal mokoro
excursions, subject to water levels. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities
on offer.

DAY FIVE C h i e f ’ s C a m p

The morning is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer.
An optional extra activity - depart from Chief's camp on this scenic 45 minute helicopter flight
involving flying west of the game drive routes towards the permanent delta, exposing you to areas
which are unreachable by vehicle or boat. Experience the unforgettable views that the helicopter
has to offer. Guests have the option of the doors being removed for unrestricted photographic
opportunities. This is done with the utmost consideration to guest safety. The activity highlights the
shear enormity of the Okavango delta exposing the many animal species of the Okavango Delta
region.

DAY SIX C h i e f ’ s C a m p t o C h o b e C h i lw e r o
After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the airstrip to depart Chief’s camp on a shared light
aircraft charter flight to Kasane. The flying time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Kindly
note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick ups and drop offs en route to
your destination which could affect the flying time.
On arrival at Kasane Airport a Chobe Chilwero lodge representative will meet and transfer you to the
lodge. The transfer time is approximately 10 minutes.
Deep in the heart of the Botswana wilderness lies Chobe Chilwero Lodge, one of the most enchanting
places on earth. Enjoy thrilling guided game drives in open-sided 4X4 vehicles that bring you to the
heart of Africa's largest concentration of elephants, as well as hippos, buffalos, antelope, lions and
other creatures that gather on the banks of the Chobe River. Or join one of the acclaimed guides on
a wonderous water safari on specially adapted motorboats.
Accommodation is in 15 cottages and each cottage measures 61 square metres and has its own ensuite
bathroom with a modern bath, indoor and outdoor showers, private garden with hammock,
“sala” or private balcony, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, hairdryer, minibar as well as
an in-room safe. The main public area includes a lounge, outside dining area, dining room and
library which are linked to outdoor viewing patios. The wine cellar is temperature controlled and
houses a large variety of the finest South African wines. The fully fledged Spa offers a range of spa
and hydrotherapy treatments from both the Thalgo and Africology ranges. The lodge also boasts a
split-level swimming pool, library, curio shop and a communications centre, which offers telephone,
fax and internet access.

DAY NINE Chobe Chilwero to Livingstone, Zambia
Enjoy a morning game viewing activity followed by breakfast. You will transfer via a ferry crossing
to Livingstone. The transfer time will be advised to you locally by the lodge management. Kindly
note, that all road transfers are subject to multiple pick up and drop offs en-route to your destination
which would affect the travelling time.
Depart Livingstone on a scheduled flight for onward journey.
