| KALAHARI GEMSBOK PARK | |
| LOCATION | Far northern side of the country,
between the borders of Namibia and Botswana, covering an area of 9590 square kilometers.
The adjacent Gemsbok National Park in Botsawna is larger and the area of the two reserves
together exceeds 36000 square kilometers. There are no fences dividing the two parks and
the animals move freely from one to the other. The two major rivers in the park, the
Nossob and the Auob, flow on very rare occasions. Of the three roads open to the public, two follow the courses of the Nossob and the Auob. |
