The principal activity at Ivory Tree is the open vehicle safaris which give our guests a truly exciting and rare bushveld experience.

There are also a numerous activities which occur in and around the Pilanesberg National Park, which include hot air ballooning, elephant back rides and golf at the nearby Sun City complex.
Unlike most national park game drives, ours are conducted in custom built 10 seater vehicles. Ivory's guests are allocated a dedicated ranger for the duration of their stay, ensuring that they enjoy a full game viewing opportunity, the emphasis being on big game.
This enables your ranger to better understand your particular interests and permits enough time to do his/her best to ensure that Ivory Tree satisfies your requirements. Game drive times are determined by optimal animal activity periods and would be adjusted seasonally, for example, during the summer months the game drives would typically take place early in the morning (before breakfast) and late in the afternoon.
During the winter months, game drives depart later in the morning (after breakfast) and earlier in the afternoon.
