MAHANGO GAME RESERVE
MORE ABOUT NAMIBIA
LOCATION Situated on the North-eastern side of Namibia on the Botswana border, divided from the Caprivi Game Reserve by the Okavango River, covering an area of about 30000ha. Although small this is a beautiful reserve and is home for a wide variety of wildlife.
ACCOMMODATION None inside the Reserve. The nearest accommodation is about 18 km. from the park.
FACILITIES Two game- viewing roads, one of them suitable for any vehicle, the other only for 4X4.
OPEN Throughout the year, but best during the dry season.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS Malaria, bilharzia, Crocodiles.
WILDLIFE Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wildog, Hippo, Lechwe, Sitatunga, Buffalo, Sable, Roan and other antelopes.
