| Set in
the lush subtropical coastal belt, 42km north of KwaZulu Natals capital city,
Durban, Zimbali Lodge is Sun Internationals first "boutique" hotel. Zimbali Lodge and Country Club is located in a forest surrounded by a championship 18hole golf course designed by world renowned Tom Weiskopf. Zimbali Lodge is about forty minutes (58km) by road from Durban International Airport, 31km from Virginia Airport north of Durban and a five-hour drive from Johannesburg. Zimbali, Zulu for "Valley of Flowers", the estate on which the new lodge is established, is in the heart of a haven of naturally occurring lakes and wetlands. |

As a
protected environment, it is home to a wide variety of wildlife, from magnificent
butterflies, such as the Citrus Swallowtail, to many beautiful species of antelope and
bird life. The ocean provides another life system for exploration by nature-lovers, and
the lush forests surrounding Zimbali are a birdwatcher's paradise, with sightings of the
rare Narina Trogon a distinct possibility. The superb championship golf course has been
designed specifically for use by golf cart and will offer one of the most breathtaking,
scenic golf experiences in the world. The lodge is 5-Star plus and "Service
Excellence" is the motto. All rooms offer five-star luxury, designed to harmonize in tone and style with the natural surrounding forest. The African/Classical architecture is epitomised by warm wood tones which flow through to both floor and wall decor. Bathrooms are luxurios with freestanding Victorian baths from the turn of the century. Each room is well stocked with a selection of hot beverages, light snacks and a mini-bar. Butlers are on hand to attend to the guests every need. All rooms have colour TV, Satellite, M-Net, radio, telephone, bath, separate shower, hairdryer, electric razor plug, multi-electric plugs for international use and multi-telephone plugs for computer connection. Each room has its own balcony and faces the lagoon, sea and forest. Suites inter-lead to adjoining twin-bedded rooms. Newspapers are delivered each day.
