|Blessed with an astounding concentration of animals, and panoramic vistas across the plains and dotted woodlands, the Masai Mara National Park provides an unsurpassed experience. As East Africa's plains fade yellow after the summer's rains, an ancient signal is sent to millions of beasts|
|as one, the horizon blurring with the bodies of over one million
wildebeest, zebra, eland, gazelle, relentlessly tracked by Africa's great predators.
The migration has its origin on the
|southern Serengeti plains in Tanzania, moving north towards the Masai Mara plains, from about June each year. This is without a doubt one the most awe-inspiring sights on Earth. By July have massed along the Mara River, plunging in to crocodile infested waters which are awaiting them. Many are drowned, others falling prey to ambushing lions. This is the dramatic life-and-death that travelers have come to see.|
