COMMON NAME Kudu SCIENTIFIC NAME Tragelaphus strepsiceros (Pallas,1766) Kudu associate in small family groups of up to 20 individuals. Adult bulls form bachelor groups and do not associate with breeding herds for the greater part of the year. Although they are not territorial animals, fights between adult bulls are common, and, very often, the horns of the 2 contenders, become interlocked.
