Tubu Tree Safari Camp
Tubu Tree Camp is situated in the 60.000 hectare Jao Reserve which borders the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana's Okavango Delta. Tubu Tree is a traditional style tented safari camp built on raised wooden platforms to take best advantage of the beautiful view over the floodplains. Tubu Tree camp accommodates guests in 5 large, comfortable tents, each with a small, private deck in front.
All the tents have en suite bathroom facilities and private outdoor shower. The main dining and lounge areas are also large tents on raised platforms, with an outdoor pub area built under the canopy of a large Marula tree.
Activities at Tubu Tree Camp include day and night game drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles, as well as walking with an armed guide. When the Okavango's annual flood is at its highest (normally May to late September), boating, fishing and mokoro trips are also offered.
A variety of habitats ensures diverse and interesting game viewing. Wildlife seen here includes elephant, Lion, Zebra, Red Lechwe, Giraffe, Tsessebe, Wildebeest as well as Kudu, Impala, Leopard and Bushbuck.

GAME VIEWING
The area is a combination of open grasslands, dry forest and shallow floodplains. Therefore game viewing is varied. Giraffe, Elephant, Lion, Warthog, Lechwe, Hippo, Leopard, Cheetah, Tsessebe, Buffalo, Serval, Aardwolf plus all the plains game.
ACTIVITIES
Land game drives in open 4 x 4 Land Rovers - the camp has 3 x 10 seater Land Rovers each accommodating a maximum of seven guests, allowing all guests an outside seat.
Private vehicle available on request.- Night drives with spot light
Walking Safaris are offered from camp on a request basis
7 x 2 seater mekoro- 1 x 12 seater boat (subject to water levels permitting its use)
Fishing on a catch and release basis (can book fly fishing with specialist fly fisher Grant. This must be booked prior to travel). Basic rods & reels supplied by camp but fly fishing equipment to be supplied by guest.
A raised hide located about 20 minutes from camp (which can be used for sleep outs - maximum 4 people at a time, has a long drop loo and outside shower).
